︎︎︎ From Border to Home: Housing Solutions for Asylum Seekers
Architectural design for a project proposing solutions for the housing needs of refugees in Northern Europe

The project was created as a submission to the competition From Border to Home: Housing Solutions for Asylum Seekers, organised by the Museum of Finnish Architecture and The Finnish Association of Architects SAFA, seeking solutions for the housing needs of refugees in Northern Europe, to be exhibited at the Finnish Pavilion at the XV Venice Architecture Biennale, curated by Chilean architect Alejandro Aravena.

The project focuses on utilising existing infrastructures and vacant urban spaces and using a participatory approach that engages local communities in the early stages of the design process. The design is flexible, can be adopted as a short term and long term solution and applied to various scales all over Finland.
